The short version. Everything you type into this app stays on your own phone. There is no account and no server holding your medical records. Your information reaches Dr. Adil Farooq only when you choose to press a button that sends it on WhatsApp. We do count anonymous usage — how many people open the app and which screens they reach — but this never includes anything you type and cannot identify you.
Dengue Patient Care is a product of Clinied (clinied.com). The clinical content is written and the consultations are provided by Dr. Adil Farooq, MBBS, MD Medicine, Fellow in Infectious Diseases. You are never required to enter your real name. The app works fully without it.
All of this is stored only in your own device's browser storage. It is not uploaded, not backed up to any server, and not accessible to Dr. Farooq or anyone else unless you send it yourself.
Because the data lives only on your device, clearing your browser data, uninstalling the app, or switching phones will permanently delete it. There is no way to recover it.
Information leaves your device in one situation only: when you tap a button that opens WhatsApp with a prepared message — for example "Send complete case", "Send CBC on WhatsApp", or the consultation button.
You always see the message before it is sent, and you can edit or cancel it. Once sent, that message is a WhatsApp message and is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy, not by this one.
If you consult Dr. Farooq, the messages you send form part of a clinical record. He retains these as required by professional and legal obligations for medical records, and keeps them confidential in the same way as any other patient information.
Payments are handled entirely by the payment provider you choose — Easypaisa, JazzCash, or a card payment page. This app does not collect, see, or store your card number, wallet PIN, or banking credentials. Consult your chosen provider's privacy policy for how they handle your payment data.
This app contains no advertising and no advertising trackers.
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count anonymous usage. It records that a screen was reached — for example that someone opened the app, chose a language, or viewed the consultation page — together with the approximate country or city and the type of device, which it derives from the connection itself. It uses no cookies and assigns you no persistent identifier.
Analytics never receives anything you enter. Your temperature readings, fluid intake, symptoms, laboratory results, name, age, weight and city as typed into the app are not sent to Umami or to anyone else. They remain in your phone's storage. What is counted is the action, never its contents.
The other external resource loaded is a web font from Google Fonts, needed to display Urdu script correctly; your browser requests it directly and it involves no identifying information from within the app.
The app is intended to be used by adults, including parents recording information on behalf of a child. A child's data entered by a parent is handled exactly as described above — stored only on that device.
This app is an educational guide and record-keeping tool. It does not diagnose dengue and does not replace assessment by a doctor. Its screening section indicates only whether testing may be worthwhile, based on the World Health Organization probable dengue definition.
In an emergency, do not use this app. If a warning sign appears, go to the nearest hospital immediately rather than waiting for a reply to any message.

صرف اُس وقت جب آپ کوئی واٹس ایپ بٹن دبائیں۔ بھیجنے سے پہلے پیغام آپ کے سامنے ہوتا ہے اور آپ اسے بدل یا منسوخ کر سکتے ہیں۔ بھیجنے کے بعد وہ واٹس ایپ کی اپنی پالیسی کے تابع ہے۔
ادائیگی مکمل طور پر آپ کے منتخب کردہ ادارے (ایزی پیسہ، جاز کیش یا کارڈ) کے ذریعے ہوتی ہے۔ یہ ایپ آپ کا کارڈ نمبر، پن یا بینک تفصیلات نہ دیکھتی ہے نہ محفوظ کرتی ہے۔
